FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS BANK PROMOTIONS

 BOSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of First Federal Savings Bank of Boston has appointed Mike Matarazzo as vice president of operations. Matarazzo's principle responsibilities will be business development and regulatory compliance, as well as generally supervising the operations and activities of the bank.
 A graduate of Boston College, Matarazzo spent nearly 30 years at NewWorld Bank, where he was senior vice president, operations. According to Robb J. Osinski, executive vice president, "Mike brings to us experience at all levels and will greatly enhance our abilities to initiate new retail banking programs."
 First Federal also appointed Michael P. Sheehan as vice president. Sheehan, a vice president of the bank's mortgage subsidiary, First Eastern Mortgage Corporation, has been responsible for mortgage loan underwriting since 1984.
 Linda Firth and Brett Yannalfo were each promoted to branch manager and assistant branch manager, respectively. Both Linda and Brett will be responsible for developing new business by increasing the deposit base of the bank's branch in Andover, Mass.
 First Federal Savings Bank of Boston, headquartered in Boston, is the parent company of First Eastern Mortgage Corporation, the second largest one-to-four family residential mortgage lender in Massachusetts and New Hampshire with originations in five New England states.
