FIRST DATA NAMES RIC DUQUES AS CHAIRMAN/CEO NEW YORK, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- First Data Corporation has
announced that Henry C. (Ric) Duques will be its first chairman and chief executive officer.
First Data Corporation, formerly American Express Information Services Corporation (ISC), has recently filed an S-1 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for an initial offering of common stock. FDC is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Express Company (NYSE: AXP). Duques, 48, was president and chief executive officer of American Express ISC. In his new role, he will remain a member of the American Express Planning and Policy Committee. Prior to joining American Express in 1987, Duques held increasingly senior management positions with Automatic Data Processing (ADP), culminating as Group President for ADP's Financial Services Group. He was also a member of the ADP Board of Directors. Duques is a graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he obtained both Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees. First Data Corporation is a leading provider of high-quality, high- volume information processing and related services in the communications, credit card processing, healthcare, systems operations, payment systems, cable billing, mutual fund transfer and telemarketing industries.
