FIRETECTOR ANNOUNCES $1 MILLION PLUS IN COMMUNICATION CONTRACTS

 SYOSSET, N.Y., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Firetector Inc. (NASDAQ: FTEC) announced record sales of approximately $1.2 million for the month of September with an order backlog of $5 million and increasing. This is consistent with management's expectation of record revenues and earnings in fiscal 1994. Firetector has secured more than $1 million in numerous important communication contracts, including the College of Staten Island and New York City Transit Authority. In addition, Firetector has secured fire alarm/life safety service contracts for 10 Capital Cities/ABC television buildings in New York City. In addition, Firetector's recently launched Comco Transit division has obtained orders from major transit carriers and suppliers such as the Long Island Railroad, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Amtrak, ABB Traction, Sumitomo Rail Car and Kawasaki.
 Firetector Inc. is engaged in the design, manufacture, marketing and service of a variety of data communication products and systems with applications in the fire alarm, life safety, security and communication industries.
