FIONA: HUBBY WOESNEARLY SPLIT US UP.

FORMER GMTV star Fiona Phillips has revealed how her marriage came close to cracking when her TV boss hubby lost his job.

The mum-of-two, who quit the breakfast sofa after 12 years in 2008, said she even told Scots husband Martin Frizell she had consulted a divorce lawyer. He lost his job as editor of GMTV just before Christmas after a takeover by ITV and Fiona, 49, says the high-flier is struggling to cope.

She said: "He's finding it hard.

It's the first time in decades he's not had a job."
