FIND THE ZIMMER THUG; STABBING HUNT FOR STREET ATTACKERS.

THIS is the thug on a Zimmer frame who stabbed a man in the street.

Police yesterday released CCTV images of their suspect.

They believe the man knifed a 26-year-old man in the buttocks and slashed his face.

with The brutal assault happened near the Cathouse club on Union Street in Glasgow city centre. The attacker, who is 20 to 25, used a walking aid. Police said his victim suffered serious injuries in the assault on Wednesday, February 3, at 11.25pm.

She said: "This was a brazen attack in Glasgow city centre which has left a man requiring hospital treatment for serious injuries. We are not aware of the suspects' motivation.

"Our inquiries continue and I appeal to anyone who may have been walking or driving in the area and witnessed the incident to contact police.

"Anyone who recognises the three men is also asked to contact police at the city centre police office on 101."

The first male is white and of medium height and build.

He wore dark clothing with white trainers and a tammy hat.

He had a three-wheel Zimmmer or walking frame, which was thrown at the victim.

Afterwards he made his way down Union Street towards Argyle Street before escaping in a taxi.

The second man is white, 30-35, stocky with dark clothing, dark hair and white trainers.

The third male is in the same age group. He was stocky, with blue jeans, dark shoes and light brown hair.

Anyone with information about the attack, which is being treated as a serious assault, is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111
