FINAST BRINGS 150 NEW JOBS TO RICHMOND HEIGHTS

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Finast Supermarkets today announced the opening of its newest 24-hour Superstore on Sunday, Nov. 14, at 9 a.m. in Richmond Heights, Ohio. Located in the Hilltop Plaza Shopping Center at the intersection of Wilson Mills Road and Richmond Road, the new 57,000-square-foot store brings 150 new jobs to the area along with a six million dollar investment. The new store, the fifth superstore Finast has opened in 1993, is a spectacular replacement for the former Finast which burned in June of 1991.
William C. Holsworth, president of Finast Supermarkets, said, "For our reinvestment in Richmond Heights we've combined our legendary low prices with an outstanding facility and first class quality and selection. Our Hilltop Plaza Finast is truly a food store that offers all the convenience people are looking for. Customer service is a top priority, from the pledge all Finast associates take to the personal service customers obtain in our perishable departments. Our goal is to make food shopping as easy and exciting as possible. It feels good to return to this area with a new Finast, and a new level of excellence and commitment."
The Hilltop Plaza Finast has a complete fresh food marketplace with full-service floral, meat, seafood, deli and bakery departments. A full selection of ready-to-go food and a Fifth Third Bank branch are part of the store's commitment to one stop shopping. At the Fifth Third Bank branch customers can apply for a mortgage, trade stocks or open a certificate of deposit.
Holsworth noted in additional remarks that the Finast Consumer Center had received hundreds of requests for a new store after the original Finast burned. "We truly want to reward the residents of this area for their patience and good will," he noted in further remarks. "Never have we had this much demand for a Finast."
The new 24-hour store, located at 5100 Wilson Mills Rd., will be open from Mondays at 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays. Sunday hours are 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. To celebrate the opening of this 24th Finast Superstore, special sweepstakes prizes, costumed characters, food samples and demonstrations will take place through Saturday, Nov. 20.
Finast Supermarkets operates 39 Finast Stores, four Pick-N-Pays and three 3D Discount stores in Northeastern Ohio. In 1993 Finast has created over 750 jobs with five superstore openings in Northeastern Ohio.
