FIGURES ARE IN FASHION.

Byline: By PETER BIBBY South Wales Echo

The stars are taking to the catwalk this month to strut their stuff - for the Echo-Ty George Appeal. TV news presenters Lucy Owen and Jonathan Hill will host the Ty George Fashion Show at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff. The celebrity model list includes TV weatherman Derek Brockway, BBC newsgirl Sian Lloyd and Newyddion's Sara Evans.

They will be joined on the catwalk by four bank managers from Barclays who will model a range of clothes from the Debenhams collection.

The four are Jon King (Penarth), Mike Jones (Canton), Neil Blockley (Bridgend) and assistant manager Geraint Jones (Bridgend).

They volunteered to be part of the fundraiser for the Echo-Ty George Appeal which aims to raise pounds 500,000 to help build, equip and run the new Ty George centre for hospice-at- home care in Cardiff.

Jon said: 'Taking to the catwalk is not something that comes naturally, but if it raises money for the Echo-Ty George Appeal it's worth it.'

On parade will be women's, men's and children's wear, including items from the new Julien Macdonald collection along with fashions from John Rocha, Jasper Conran, Coast, Spirit and Plant.

All the fashions on show at the event on Monday, November 15 (7pm) are being provided by Debenhams. Tickets at pounds 10 are available from Sian Symons on Cardiff 029 2048 5345.: HOW TO GIVE MONEY:Please help us build, equip and run the new Ty George Hospice Centre to care for those with a terminal or life-limiting illness.
