FIGO'S A GO GO FOR FORD INDIA.
FORD has launched a new supermini for the Indian market.
The Figo is aimed at India's small car market which is anything but small; Indians buy more superminis than any other market and small cars account for 70 per cent of total sales.
The Figo is basically an old model Fiesta with a minor restyle. It will be built at one of Ford's Indian facilities which is being refurbished at a cost of $500million.
Ford has hinted that the car may be exported but despite the fact that much of India is right-hand-drive territory it is unlikely the car will ever reach these shores.
