FIFTY AFRICAN AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS, TRADES PEOPLE AND BUSINESS FIRMS TO CONDUCT 20 WORKSHOPS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS IN PHILADELPHIA

 PHILADELPHIA, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The PECO-Omega 14th Annual Career Conference will be held Saturday, March 27, at Temple University's Student Activities Center, 13th Street and Montgomery Avenue, Philadelphia.
 The workshops will be on career choices from the fields of art and architecture to law, medicine, nursing and computer science. Volunteers who conduct the workshops come from private practice, hospitals, law firms, business firms and the fields of education.
 Fourteen years ago, Philadelphia Electric Company joined with the local chapter of Omega Psi Phi, one of the nation's largest black fraternities, in making career conferences available for middle school students in the inner-city.
 The conference is coordinated by Mark Hyman Associates Inc. of 5070 Parkside Avenue in Philadelphia.
