FIFTH THIRD SIGNS DEFINITIVE AGREEMENT, EXPANDS IN OHIO WITH ACQUISITION OF EIGHT EQUITABLE SAVINGS OFFICES

 CINCINNATI, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ: FITB) and CSF Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSFC), Miami, announced today they have signed a definitive agreement in which Fifth Third Bancorp will acquire the deposits and facilities of eight Equitable Savings branches in Ohio. CSF Holdings currently operates the offices in Ohio as Equitable Savings.
 Pending regulatory approval, the eight branches with deposits totaling $305 million will be merged into three Fifth Third Bancorp affiliate banks and operate as full-service Fifth Third Banking Centers. Fifth Third Bank of Columbus will add the Marysville, Circleville, Westerville and Clintonville offices; Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati will add the Huber Heights, Springboro and Washington Square offices; and Fifth Third Bank of Southern Ohio will add the downtown Chillicothe office. The new Banking Centers will offer drive-thru facilities and Fifth Third's Jeanie(R) automated teller machine (ATM) service.
 The new offices in Marysville and Circleville will extend Fifth Third Bank of Columbus to the counties of Union and Pickaway in Central Ohio. "This move also allows us to further our commitment to the Dayton and Chillicothe communities in Montgomery and Ross ct?ies."
 Fifth Third Bank of Columbus, Fifth Third Bank of Southern Ohio and Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati are affiliates of Fifth Third Bancorp. The Bancorp, headquartered in Cincinnati, has $11.4 billion in assets and 10 affiliate banks with 290 Banking Centers in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Naples, Fla., including 63 Bank Marts(R) open seven days a week inside select grocery stores. Fifth Third Bancorp's stock is traded on NASDAQ under the symbol "FITB" and was recently listed as one of the nation's top 25 growth stocks by "U.S. News & World Report."
