FIBA WQT: Pogoy itching for Gilas return.

Talk 'N Text stalwart RR Pogoy is more than eager to find his footing once again with the national team as they prepare for the sixth window of the ongoing FIBA Asia Qualifiers.
After serving his five-game suspension due to the infamous brawl last year, the TnT swingman is expected to bring another potent 3-and-D presence to bolster the team's depth.
In key losses against Iran and Kazakhstan, a player in Pogoy's caliber could've helped the national team's cause in booking a much-coveted spot in the upcoming FIBA World Cup.
He lamented the fact that he's missed a significant amount of time with the national team but believes that they could've pulled out some wins given their glut of talent. Nonetheless, he added that a few more practices here and there would boost their chances overall.
"Parang gusto ko maglaro pero 'yun nga, may nangyari. Kaya naman nila eh - mas magaling naman sila. Siguro kulang lang sa preparation at konti lang 'yung ensayo," shared the former FEU standout.
When called upon to serve the country once again, Pogoy was initially surprised but thankful for the second chance.
"Nakita ko lang sa Twitter na naisali na pala pangalan ko doon. Nagulat ako," said Pogoy.
"Sobrang saya ko na nasama ulit ako. Sobrang pasalamat ako kay Coach Yeng (Guiao) at saka sa lahat ng coaching staff na napili ulit ako, kasi parang ang pangit ng exit ko noong dati kasi napaaway, so sobrang saya," he ended.
