FFE, ERB Transport announce LTL alliance providing U.S.-Canadian service.

FFE Transportation Services, Inc., the largest perishables motor carrier in the United States, and Erb Transport Limited, a leading Canadian perishables motor carrier, to day announced a strategic alliance that will provide less-than-truckload (LTL) service between points in Central and Eastern Canada and the 48 contiguous United States.

FFE, based in Dallas, Texas with 15 terminals strategically located throughout the United States, has been serving points in the U.S. for more than 46 years, providing both full-truckload and LTL movement of both dry and perishable motor freight. For over 32 years, Erb Transport, a family-owned company, based in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada, has served its customers, providing transportation and distribution of temperature-controlled products through a network of 10 terminals located strategically throughout Ontario and parts of Quebec. The new alliance represents an expansion of Erb service between Canada and the United States.

"In today's global environment, international borders are becoming less and less a barrier to doing business," says Charles Robertson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at FFE. "Our new alliance with Erb will provide our customers with yet another valuable level of service designed to produce truly seamless transportation.

"We are very excited about a partnership with a company like FFE that has established itself as a quality service leader for more than four decades," says Wendell Erb, Vice President, International Operations, Erb Transport Limited.

Service between points in the U. S. and Canada will include regular schedules, utilizing the most modem and efficient equipment, including dual temperature-controlled trailers. FFE operates terminals in Winterhaven, FL, Atlanta, GA, Philadelphia, PA, Avenel, NJ, Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, OH, Nashville, TN, Kansas City, MO, Memphis, TN, Houston, TX, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Oakland, CA, Los Angeles, CA and Dallas, TX.
