FETTER PROMOTED TO CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AT METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER INC.
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Trevor Fetter has been promoted to chief financial officer in addition to his position as executive vice president of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., it was announced today. His new responsibilities will also include participation in the development and implementation of the Company's strategies and plans related to new technologies and new media. He will report to Michael S. Hope, who is responsible for all of the Company's financial and administrative functions. Fetter's most recent responsibilities as executive vice president have included overseeing the Company's strategic planning and its growing merchandise licensing areas. He has been involved in developing the Company's long-range business plans and in structuring and negotiating various corporate transactions. "Trevor's depth of experience, as well as his historical perspective, offer the company unique strengths," Hope stated. "He will be a strong asset in the ongoing revitalization of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer." Fetter, 33, joined the Company in 1988 and was involved in financing and merger and acquisition efforts. He was previously with Merrill, Lynch Capital Markets for six years in the Investment Banking Division, advising and arranging financing for various entertainment and media clients. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
