 FERGUSON TO DIRECT BELL ATLANTIC PROJECT
 NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert W. Ferguson, vice


president-sales, New Jersey Bell, has been selected to head the sales engineering project for Bell Atlantic Network Services, Inc.
 Len J. Lauer, formerly with the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), has accepted the vice president-sales post at New Jersey Bell.
 In his new assignment, Ferguson will provide project leadership for initiatives to improve sales force efficiency and effectiveness. He was appointed to his current position in May 1990.
 Lauer was area manager of distribution and general business for IBM in Washington, where he received IBM's vice president award for his initiatives in strategic marketing.
 The changes are effective on Aug. 16, 1992.
 Bell Atlantic Corporation (NYSE; BEL), based in Philadelphia, is the parent company of New Jersey Bell, Bell of Pennsylvania, Diamond State Telephone (Delaware), and the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Companies of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington.
