Barry Ferguson'S appointment as Clyde boss has raised the club's prole - and punters' expectation levels.

e League Two side are the worst ante-post loser for bookies across all four SPFL divisions with less than a month to go before kick-o. It's a surprise gamble that caught McBookie o guard and they've been forced to half title odds from 12-1 to 6-1. McBookie spokesman Paul Petrie said: "We cut the odds on Clyde to 10-1 when Ferguson was appointed and since then they have been the only team punters have wanted to back in League Two.

"People seem to think the 'Ferguson Factor' will attract quality new players to the club as well as the playermanager's own talents shining in the lowest rung of Scottish football. Clyde are our worst antepost result in Scotland which is something of a surprise."

McBookie League 2 odds: 9-4 East Fife, 7-2 Albion R, 5-1 Arbroath, 6-1 Clyde, 7-1 Annan, 8-1 Berwick, 16-1 Elgin, 20-1 East Stirling.
