FERG FAITH IN KEEPER.

BARRY Ferguson has backed Allan McGregor to win his place back at Rangers - and prove he's the best goalkeeper in Scotland.

Manager Walter Smith has axed McGregor as he has struggled to recapture last season's form.

It is understood Smith has also grown tired of the keeper's playboy lifestyle and has told him he will need to knuckle down.

But Gers skipper Ferguson said: "Greegsy's got a strong mind and I am sure he will go out and work even harder now.

"He'll prove what a good goalkeeper he is. When he is on his game, there is nobody better."
