 FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANK OF NEW YORK PROMOTES GILMORE VICE PRESIDENT
 AND GRIFFITH ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT
 NEW YORK, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Dittenhafer, president of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY), announced today that James Gilmore has been promoted to the position of director of the new demand and disbursement services division and has been appointed as a vice president by the board of directors.
 The new division, with an anticipated staff of 15 to 20 employees, will be responsible for administering and coordinating demand and disbursement account services. Gilmore, currently assistant vice president, operations analysis, item processing, joined the FHLBNY in 1984 as an operations analyst. Prior to joining the bank, Gilmore was with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for 10 years.
 The board of directors also appointed Michael Griffith to assistant vice president, correspondent banking. Griffith joined the FHLBNY in 1989 as an account manager. Previously he was with Barclays Bank for nine years, rising from account representative to assistant vice president/senior account manager.
 The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York provides low-cost financing and other banking services to stockholding institutions in support of affordable housing for Americans in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
