 FEDERAL EXPRESS DIVISION ANNOUNCES RELOCATION
MEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Business Logistics Services

("BLS"), a division of Federal Express Corporation (NYSE: FDX), today announced the relocation of its Amsterdam facilities to Eindhoven.
The 56,000-square-foot office and warehouse complex at Welschap Industrial Estate, near Eindhoven airport, will serve as a strategic base for managing and running logistics operations serving global markets as well as supporting other operations in Europe. A major factor in moving is Eindhoven's exceptional position in relation to road, air and sea links. It is within 60 yards of the customs center for Eindhoven airport, close to the convergence of five major roads and a strategic ferryport, and is within 90 miles of three major airports -- Amsterdam, Brussels, and Frankfurt. Another consideration is the proximity of the site to several high-tech industries.
The fully bonded facility will enable Business Logistics Europe to meet all aspects of its clients' logistics needs, including a new customer service support center and a computer repair and return operation, as well as providing the standard PartsBank service, such as medium and long-term storage, inventory management, order receipt and processing, customs support, transportation and distribution, and real- time communication on the status of their clients' products.
BLS, headquartered in Memphis, provides a wide range of value-added, integrated logistics and information systems services for high priority goods, documents and information. It operates facilities in the United States, Asia and Europe.
