FEDERAL EXPRESS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF REPRESENTATIONAL ELECTION AMONG ITS CREWMEMBERS

 MEMPHIS, Tenn., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Federal Express Corporation announced today the initial results of the representational election among its crewmembers. Ballots were counted today at the offices of the National Mediation Board (NMB) in Washington, D.C.
 Of 2,279 eligible voters, a total of 1,015 votes were cast for the Air Line Pilots Association and 271 for the United States Pilots Association.
 ALPA, as the union with the most votes, was not certified by the National Mediation Board. Under the NMB's rules, objections to conduct during the election can be filed within 48 hours.
