FED daily-wage teachers call off protest after assurance from standing committee.

Islamabad -- Hundreds of daily wage teaching and non teaching staffers working under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) have called off two months long protest after the authorities assured them of timely resolution of their issues.

The decision to call off the meeting was taken after a standing committee on Cabinet Secretariat assured the teachers that a clear-cut policy about their regularization would be taken up by the CADD ministry within a month.

Committee member Asad Umar reiterated that they will join in the teachers in their protest in D-Chowk if a clear-cut policy regarding the daily wage staffer was not devised within a month.

Saily wage teachers and non teaching employees have been staging protests in front of FDE, CADD ministry and D-Chowk for the two months against non-regularization and pending salaries.
