Mauritshuis, The W.Baron van Dedem Donation, Until October 27, 2002

This year the Mauritshuis received five paintings as a gift from Willem Baron van Dedem. These new acquisitions, all of them Dutch painters from the Golden Age such as Frans Post and Roelant Savery, will be on display in the museum until October 27.

In recognition of the Baron's generous gift, a walk through the Mauritshuis has been marked out, titled `100 Years of Gifts and Bequests to the Mauritshuis.' The walk takes visitors past the most important paintings that have been donated or bequeathed in the past hundred years, including world-famous masterpieces, such as the Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer.
