FDE's staffers protest for eight months salary.

Islamabad -- The employees of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) have demanded the government to confirm them and immediate pay the due salaries of last 8 months.

They said this, while staging a protest demonstration outside the National Press Club here on Wednesday in which more than two thousand employees of FDE including teachers of Islamabad Model and F.G. Schools and colleges and other academic staff have participated.

'Islamabad High Court (IHC) and Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat have ordered to confirm daily wages employees of FDE but despite this federal government instead of giving them the status of permanent employee has deprived them of daily wages', they added.

The protesters said that teachers of federal educational institutions are post graduate and performing their duties in these institutions for the last 10 years but they were neither confirmed nor paid salaries for the last 8 months.

They demanded of the Supreme Court to take suo moto notice of ordered the relevant authorities to pay our salaries. They also demanded to regularize the teaching and non-teaching staff of educational institutions of FDE under the policy of 2011.
