By Analou De Vera

Health authorities warned the public against the consumption of three unregistered food products that are being sold in the market.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in its Advisory No. 2018-202 identified the food products as Chro Plus Herbal Oil, 7 days Slimming Coffee, and Miko Sardines in Tomato Sauce with Chili Bonus Pack.

The FDA said that the products did not go through its registration process as verified by their post-marketing surveillance.

The agency also added that it cannot guarantee the products' quality and safety, adding that it may "pose potential health hazard" when consumed.

"The public is advised not to purchase the aforementioned violative products," the FDA stated.

The agency reminded establishments not to distribute the unregistered products until it have already been covered by appropriate authorization, "otherwise, regulatory actions and sanctions shall be strictly pursued."
