 FCB ENHANCES PRESENCE IN SAO PAULO;
 FCB/SIBONEY BECOMES TOP TEN BRAZILIAN AGENCY
 CHICAGO, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- FCB International, a subsidiary of Foote, Cone & Belding Communications, Inc., (NYSE: FCB), announced that it has acquired the clients of Nucleo Publicidade in Sao Paulo, Brazil. These clients will be added to the roster of FCB/Siboney Publicidade, the company's existing Sao Paulo operation, which will move to larger headquarters. FCB continues to hold a majority equity position in the agency. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
 FCB/Siboney Publicidade, Sao Paulo, now has billings of approximately $65 million and ranks among the ten largest agencies in Brazil, the largest advertising market in the Latin American region. Its employees in Sao Paulo number 125.
 New clients coming to FCB/Siboney include: Bunge/Borne Group, the multi-billion dollar international commodities conglomerate, that owns such brand names as Delicia Margarine, Santista Gelatin, Coral Paints, Classic Cashmere and is a world's leading maker of denim and textiles, as well as Ballantine's and Veracruz Insurance. They join FCB/Siboney's current roster which includes: Colgate-Palmolive, Diners Club International, Firestone, Schweppes, Faber Castell and Kimberly Clark.
 Gustavo Cubas Sr., president of FCB/Siboney, will continue to lead the agency. Key management joining from Nucleo includes: Frederico Quirno, who will serve as senior vice president; Arthur Amorim, who becomes senior creative director; and Otto Zoega Neto, who becomes associate media director.
 Jose M. Cubas, president/CEO of FCB/Latin America, said, "This acquisition significantly enhances our strength in Brazil, the largest market in South America. It will allow us to deliver the resources growing multinational marketers like Bunge/Born require as they expand successful regional brands across the globe."
 Foote, Cone & Belding Communications, Inc., ranks as the sixth largest advertising network in the Latin American region, with 27 offices in 18 countries of Central and South America. FCB ranks as the eighth largest advertising company in the world with global billings totaling $6 billion.
