 NEW YORK, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Foote, Cone & Belding's Spot


Broadcast Unit, based in New York, has been awarded the broadcast media buying and planning account of the A&P Co., a billion-dollar retailer that ranks as one of America's largest supermarket chains. The creative portion of the account will continue to be handled by The Tom Attea Company, Inc.
 The assignment, effective Nov. 11, follows a competition for the multi-million dollar account involving several New York agencies and buying services.
 FCB's Spot Broadcast Unit ranks among the top U.S. organizations in the volume of media expenditures placed in spot television and radio. Its creativity in media planning and clout in media buying efficiency has made FCB an industry leader.
