FAX HEALTHCARE NETWORK TO PROVIDE SPONSORED DAILY NEWS AND INFORMATION TARGETING MORE THAN 250,000 PHYSICIANS

PHILADELPHIA, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Myron Yanoff, M.D., medical director of Facsimile Science Corporation, introduced the new Fax Healthcare Network, a unique daily healthcare news and information service, along with advertising, targeting the fax machines of more than 250,000 physicians -- generalists, specialists, subspecialists -- nationwide.
In addition to a complete menu of healthcare information for physicians, fax broadcasting and fax on demand services from SprintFAX(R) enable sponsors to deliver, over Sprint's all-digital fiber-optic network, their own important news alerts and messages immediately and economically.
"Physicians will automatically receive a comprehensive one-page menu each morning, and can easily retrieve, on demand, any or all items, free of charge," Yanoff said. The voice interactive menu, provided by SprintFAX, will enable physicians to keep up to date and receive information including: 1) Daily Healthcare News; 2) Continuing Medical Education Updates; 3) FDA Reports -- news, drug and device approvals, recalls and special notices; 4) Current Awareness Medical Literature Updates; 5) Medical Association News and Information; 6) Center for Disease Control Reports; 7) Reports from the U.S. Surgeon General; 8) News from Medical Specialty Groups; 9) National and International News Briefs; 10) Financial and Business Information including a Personal Stock Portfolio and Business News Service; and 11) Latest Sports Information Update.
"At a critical time in the history of providing healthcare services, physicians using the Fax Healthcare Network will be able to keep up with their information needs easily and efficiently, allowing them to spend more valuable time with patients," said Winslow W. Murdoch, M.D., head of the company's healthcare advisory board. According to the company, over a year of design, development and prototype testing has been successfully completed assuring the accurate delivery by SprintFAX of both important and timely healthcare information electronically published by Facsimile Science Corporation.
