#I was horrified at the attitude of reality star Ursula Presgrave towards children born with Down's syndrome (Mirror, September 21). They are beautiful, intelligent human beings with feelings like any others and many grow to lead full, loving and happy lives with the support of their loved ones.

Ursula needs to apologise and show some love and understanding.

Young Domenica Lawson gave her a brilliant response. She is a credit to her family. S Smith (retired SRN) Birmingham #I watch all the soaps and I find each is as bad as the other when it comes to violence. It is all about the writers getting the highest ratings and, unfortunately, violent, sensational storylines draw viewers in.

It's a sad fact but it works - plus it gets people talking about the programme even more. Melanie Ingleton Coulson, Surrey #I've been a Doctor Who fan for years and although the storylines are good, many fans do not like the combination of an older doctor and a young sidekick. Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman do not gel, so I think that's why viewing figures have been low. Chris Milsom, Brantham, Suffolk #I wish to add my voice to those of previous letter writers on the excessive noise played during TV broadcasts.

I've complained to the BBC and ITV on a number of occasions and their reply was that it added to the ambience. What tripe!

To mask what someone like Sir David Attenborough or Brian Cox says is an insult. John Flint Redbourn, Herts
