FANTASTIC FOODS LAUNCHES TWO NEW PRODUCTS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
DENVER, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Fantastic Foods International (OTC Bulletin Board: FCFO) today reported the launching of two new products at the National Convenience Foods Exhibition at the National Enterprise Center in Birmingham, England. The two products, "Sindy Snacks" and "Dirty Chips," will be initially sold through supermarket chains and convenience stores in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
"Sindy Snacks," an extruded product, is a promotional marketing joint venture of Hasbro Toys and Fantastic Foods that includes certain Sindy accessories enclosed in each bag of products sold. "Dirty Chips" is the company's new line of thicker skin-on, kettle-style potato chips.
The National Convenience Foods Exhibition is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, bringing together all of the major convenience food, snack food and confectionary manufacturers worldwide. The company anticipates signing additional large-standing orders of its entire line of chips and processed meats with major chains and distributors on the continent.
Arnold Guttenberg, chief executive officer of Fantastic Foods International, said, "We are very pleased with the progress that our European operations have made in the past several months. The wide acceptance of our entire product line, including these two new products, has been excellent."
 The Fantastic Foods Group
Fantastic Foods International Inc. (the "company") was formed as a Colorado corporation in December 1989 to produce potato chips, other snack foods and assorted food products for sale in the European markets, and to take advantage of the emerging marketplace created by "Europe 1992." In October 1990, Fantastic Foods Europe Ltd., an Irish resident corporation, was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary. All production operations are conducted through Fantastic Foods Europe Ltd. In September of 1991 the company acquired a majority interest in The Product Connection, PLC, an English company. The Product Connection is responsible for all sales and marketing of the company's products. In October of 1991 the company became a publicly traded company.
The company currently has 11,877,964 shares issued and outstanding and the current trading market is 2,000,348. The company's stock trades on NASDAQ's Electronic Bulletin Board. Its symbol is FCFO.
 Corporate Securities
The company is completing a $4.2 million preferred stock offering to foreign investors. Foreign investors may currently purchase the preferred shares through Credit Suisse and its U.S. depository, Swiss American Securities Inc. The company expects to also sell preferred shares through Swiss Bankcorp and Union Bank of Switzerland-Geneva. Shares of common stock of the company may be currently purchased at all three of these Swiss banks.
The Industrial Development Authority of Ireland
The company applied for and received a grant for research and development from the Industrial Development Authority of Ireland ("IDA"). Management anticipates that the company will receive an additional US $1,650,000 of non-repayable capital grant aid from the IDA and FEOGA, a Brussels-based E.C. organization. This grant aid from the Irish government and the European Community will be used toward the tooling of a new manufacturing facility.
The company recently submitted its capital grant package to the IDA. The IDA has completed its due diligence process.
 Euro-Disney Agreements
The company, through an agreement with Dublin Fine Meats, has an exclusive contract to supply Euro-Disney with pastrami, corned beef and other prepared meat products. Initial orders have been approximately 4,000 kilos per week. This translates to additional sales of approximately $50,000 per week. The company expects that its line of premium snack products will go on sale in the new theme park in the next 60 days.
 Marvel Comics License Agreement
The company has entered into an exclusive agreement with Marvel Comics to use the likenesses of certain Marvel Comics characters. Marvel owns some of the most popular childrens' characters in Europe today.
The company is currently selling the Amazing Spiderman in a series of extruded snacks, and will launch the Incredible Hulk and Captain America shortly under the brand name of T.V. Adventure Time Snacks.
 Hasbro Toys License Agreement
The company has entered into an exclusive agreement with Hasbro Toys to use the likeness of Sindy Doll, one of the most popular girls' toys in the United Kingdom. Sindy Doll enjoys a popularity much like Barbie Doll in the United States. The company will take advantage of the approximately $3.0 million of advertising that Hasbro spends of the toy each year.
 New Product Launches
"Sindy Snacks" has been launched under a promotional marketing joint venture funded by Hasbro and Fantastic Foods that includes certain Sindy accessories enclosed in each bag of product sold.
The company is also bringing to market its new line of thicker skin- on potato chips called "Dirty Chips." The company anticipates high initial volumes for this new product.
Additionally, the company is negotiating several large standing orders of its line of processed meats. These new orders will allow for further penetration into the European market via a large French food distributor.
