SADLY the sun didn't shine on Hampden for the UEFA Cup final on Wednesday night - but I doubt fans of champs Sevilla cared.

I was in Glasgow city centre the night before the big match. It was brilliant watching all the Sevilla and Espanyol fans wandering by draped in their team colours.

The atmosphere was great - everyone was singing and laughing. The enterprising spirit of their Glaswegian hosts was marvellous.

As both sets of fans were Spanish, they didn't choose teams and just bedecked their pubs with Spanish flags.

It was great to see fans from both sides sitting together having fun - maybe we could learn something from that, eh?
