FANNIE MAE ANNOUNCES DEBENTURE REDEMPTION

 WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) (NYSE: FNM) announced that on Nov. 10, 1993, it will redeem all $400 million of outstanding Series SM-1995-O, 8.40 percent debentures due Nov. 10, 1995. The debentures were originally issued on Nov. 13, 1990. The redemption price of the debentures will be 100 percent of the principal amount redeemed, plus accrued interest thereon to the date of redemption.
 Fannie Mae is a congressionally chartered, shareholder-owned company and the nation's largest source of home mortgage funds.
