FANNIE MAE ANNOUNCES DEBENTURE REDEMPTION

 WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) (NYSE: FNM) announced that on Oct. 12, 1993, it will redeem all $700 million of outstanding Series SM-2000-H, 9.15 percent debentures due Oct. 10, 2000. The debentures were originally issued on Oct. 10, 1990. The redemption price of the debentures will be 104.575 percent of the principal amount redeemed, plus accrued interest on the amount redeemed to the date of redemption.
 Fannie Mae is a congressionally chartered, shareholder-owned company and the nation's largest source of home mortgage funds.
