FANNIE MAE ANNOUNCES DEBENTURE REDEMPTION

 WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) (NYSE: FNM) announced that on Feb. 10, 1993, it will redeem all $850 million of outstanding Series SM-1995-J, 8.90 percent debentures due Feb. 10, 1995. The debentures were originally issued in February 1990. The redemption price of the debentures will be 100 percent of the principal amount redeemed, plus accrued interest thereon to the date of redemption.
 Fannie Mae, the USA's Housing Partner, is a congressionally chartered, shareholder-owned company and the nation's largest investor in home mortgages.
