FAMOUS MOVIE AND TELEVISION STARS RACK THEIR BRAINS FOR CHARITY AND FUN
 IN FIRST EVER 'CELEBRITY JEOPARDY!'
 NEW YORK, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- In an historic first fir the highest rated television quiz show in America, 15 of America's most celebrated stars will take the riveting Jeopardy! challenge for charity in the new Celebrity Jeopardy! In this newest battle of brains, celebrity participants will play Jeopardy! for their favorite charitable organization. Celebrity Jeopardy! airs Monday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Oct. 30, 1992. Jeopardy!, winner of the 1992 Emmy award for "Outstanding Game Show," is produced by Merv Griffin Enterprises and is distributed by King World Productions, Inc.
 Hosted by Alex Trebek, Jeopardy! is played as contestants provide the questions to answers in myriad categories. The game is played in three phases: Jeopardy!, Double Jeopardy! and Final Jeopardy! The Jeopardy! queries are designed to informational, entertaining and appealing to today's general television viewing audience. During Celebrity Jeopardy! week, each day three new celebrity contestants will appear in a one day competition. The participating stars and the charities they will be playing for are:
 Ed Begley, Jr. (Charity: Earth Communication Office)
 Ed Begley, Jr. is perhaps remembered most for his role as a young intern on the NBC series "St. Elsewhere." He has starred in dozens of motion pictures including: "Eating Raoul," "Young Doctors in Love," "Protocol" and "Cat People".
 Beau Bridges (Charity: The Pearl White Theatre of Performing Arts of Venice, Calif.)
 Beau Bridges has been in show business for most of his life, co- starring recently in "The Fabulous Baker Boys." Throughout his career, Beau has appeared in numerous television shows, including most notably, "Sea Hunt" with his father Lloyd Bridges and "The Fugitive." Bridges also co-starred in the HBO film, "Without Warning: The James Brady Story," and in the movies, "Norma Rae" with Sally Fields and "Greased Lightning" with comedian Richard Pryor.
 Carol Burnett (Charity: American Foundation for AIDS Research)
 Carol Burnett is renowned as one of the funniest ladies of comedy. Since 1959, Carol has starred in scores of plays, television shows and movies, but it is "The Carol Burnett Show" for which she is most famous. Other popular television shows in which Carol has starred include "Carol Burnett & Friends," "The Four Seasons," "Between Friends," "Plaza Suite" and "Carol & Company."
 Robert Guillaume (Charity: American Foundation for AIDS Research)
 Robert Guillaume is best known for his role as the audacious butler, Benson in the television comedy shows, "Soap" and "Benson." Robert also co-starred in the movie, "Lean on Me." He also received a Tony nomination for his portrayal of 'Nathan Detroit' in the Broadway play, "Guys and Dolls."
 Judith Ivey (Charity: Equity Fight for AIDS)
 Judith Ivey recently joined the cast of the CBS comedy, "Designing Women" as the rich Texas widow and former court reporter, 'B.J. Poteet.' Judith earned two Tony awards for her roles in the plays "Steaming" and "Hurly Burly." Her many film credits include "Woman in Red," "Brighton Beach Memoirs," "Compromising Positions," and for television, "The Long Hot Summer" and "The Shady Hill Kidnapping."
 Cheech Marin (Charity: CARECEN - Central American Refugee Center)
 As half of the hugely successful comedy duo, "Cheech and Chong," Cheech Marin gained fame in the early 70s as a concert performer, writer and director. His film, "Born in East L.A." became an award-winning box office hit in the mid-80s. Presently, Cheech Marin plays 'Chuy,' the chef in the CBS comedy series, "The Golden Palace."
 Donna Mills (Charity: Earth Communications Office)
 Her role as vixen, 'Abby' on the long-running CBS drama "Knots Landing" cemented her popularity in Hollywood, In the span of her successful career, Donna co-starred in the movie "Play Misty for Me" with Clint Eastwood and in the made-for television movies, "In My Daughters Name," "Bare Essence," and "The Oldest Living Bridesmaid."
 Rosie O'Donnell (Charity: Children of the Night)
 Rosie plays the sweet but tough, wise-cracking New Yorker in the movie, "A League of Their Own." She is established around the country as one of America's favorite stand-up comedians and is host of the top- rated, "Stand-up Spotlight" on VH-1, of which she is also executive producer.
 Luke Perry (Charity: Multiple Sclerosis Association)
 Playing 'Dylan McKay'; on the Fox hit series, "Beverly Hills 90210" has made Luke Perry one of Hollywood's "hottest" young actors. Luke also starred in the movie, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and in the stage productions, "Love Letters."
 Regis Philbin (Charity: Cardinal Hayes High School of the Bronx)
 Regis Philbin is known around the world as a famous co-host of "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee." Philbin's present success includes a continuing role as the co-host (with Katie Lee Gifford) of the annual international telecast of the Miss America Pageant; an acclaimed concert act with Kathie Lee Gifford, and frequent solo appearances as a nightclub performer.
 Alan Rachins (Charity: PRASAD - Philanthropic Relief and Service Administration)
 Alan Rachins co-stars in the NBC Emmy-award winning drama " L.A. Law," as the straight-laced attorney 'Douglas Brackman.' Alan is an accomplished screenwriter who has written segments for "Hill Street Blues," "Fall Guy," "Knight Rider" and "Quincy." On television he has appeared in "Fear on Trial," the CBS series "Paris," and in NBC's "She's So Innocent," as well as in the HBO series "Tales from the Crypt."
 Emma Samms (Charity: The Starlight Foundation)
 The beautiful actress Emma Samms is famous for her recurring role as "Holly Sutton' on the ABC soap opera "General Hospital," She spent four years on the popular primetime dramas, "Dynasty" and "The Colbys" as 'Fallon Carrington.' Emma recently guest-starred on Fox TV's "Get a Life," and has also appeared on "Newhart," "Hotel," Mike Hammer" and "My Two Dads."
 Andrew Shue (Charity: Rock The Vote)
 Heart-throb actor, Andrew Shue plays 'Billy Campbell' on Fox TV's "Melrose Place." He has also appeared on "The Wonder Years," as well ass in the films, "Adventures in Babysitting" and "The Karate Kid." He is a Dartmouth College graduate.
 Dean Stockwell (Charity: Nuclear Information and Resource Service)
 Dean Stockwell stars as 'Albert,' the scientist/holographic observer in the highly rated NBC television series, "Quantum Leap." Dean earned critical plaudits for his roles in the hit movies "Married to the Mob," and "Tucker" and has also starred in "To Live and Die in L.A." "Blue Velvet," "Gardens of Stone," and "Beverly Hills Cop II."
 Steven Weber (Charity: Friends of Choices Sober Living Scholarship Fund)
 Steven Weber stars opposite Bridget Fonda in the dramatic thriller film "Single White Female," and can be seen weekly in NBC's highly acclaimed series, "Wings." Steven also portrayed John F. Kennedy in the ABC mini-series "The Kennedys of Massachusetts." He made his film debut in the Vietnam saga, "Hamburger Hill."
