FALL THROUGH SPRING 'EMERALD ESCAPES' LAUNCHED BY AER LINGUS

FALL THROUGH SPRING 'EMERALD ESCAPES' LAUNCHED BY AER LINGUS
NEW YORK, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Aer Lingus today announced new Fall through Spring travel values which prove that you don't need a lot of time or a lot of money to enjoy a lot of Ireland.
"Emerald Escapes" offers short-stay vacations in Ireland, priced to include airfare on Aer Lingus, from as little as $599 per person for a Dublin three-night stay in First Class hotels. For $649, two nights of Irish theater are added, including a performance at the world-renowned Abbey Theater. Or for an all-inclusive price of $769 per person, how about three nights in one of Ireland's famous luxury castle hotels or country manors, including an Avis car and roundtrip Aer Lingus transatlantic airfare from New York or Boston?
These and other "long-weekend" vacations in Ireland are outlined in Aer Lingus' 1992/3 "Emerald Escapes" brochure which has just been launched. All packaged Escapes include accommodations, full Irish breakfasts daily, roundtrip Classic Service airfare on Aer Lingus, and an Avis self-drive car in many cases. Prices are based on two people sharing.
"The Aer Lingus 'Emerald Escapes' range of products this year offers superior quality and extra value and compares favorably with many domestic short-stay vacation offers," said Marilyn Mecca, Aer Lingus' tour manager for North America. "Ireland is little more than five hours' flying time from New York or Boston and we believe we make visiting Europe this year an affordable reality for large numbers of potential travelers. There aren't very many European destinations that can offer roundtrip airfare from the U.S. East Coast, accommodations in first-class hotels for three nights with breakfast each morning, all for less than $600."
Aer Lingus "Emerald Escapes" packages are valid for travel from November 1992 through March 1993 and brochures are now available from travel agents or by calling Aer Lingus at 1-800-223-6537 (in New York City, call 212-557-1110).
