 FALL EYEWEAR FASHIONS MARK A RETURN TO ELEGANCE
 FAIRFIELD, N.J., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Ready or not, it's time for


a fashion change. In a dramatic break from the short, leg baring fashions that have dominated runways for the past few seasons, designers this fall are featuring long skirts, long jackets and feminine silhouettes.
 And, as can be expected, designer accessories are following suit. Even fashion's newest accessory, eyewear, is debuting some notable differences for fall.
 According to eyewear manufacturer Safilo Group, who holds license to eyewear and sunwear lines such as Gucci, Laura Biagiotti and Gianfranco Ferre, designers' fall eyewear collections feature some of the same design nuances as their fashions seen of the runway.
 Frank Karlo, senior executive of Safilo Group observed that, "In keeping with the new long and feminine silhouette, an updated version of the 1960's 'cat eye' is emerging in the latest eyewear and sunwear collections. This new version hints at the uplift of the 60's cat eye but with softer more wearable cheekbone enhancing lines."
 "Colors this fall mark a return to neutral," Karlo added. "Simple silver and gold metals and nuetral plastics like black, brown and deep jewel tones are the color of choice."
 As far as sunwear is concerned, the large, glamorous Jackie-O sunglasses have a new twist. "Still large," Karlo said, "new styles are slightly thinner vertically, but feature thicker wraparound temples for a clean, elegant line."
