 FAIRBANKS MORSE RECEIVES ORDER FOR GENERATING EQUIPMENT
 NEW YORK, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fairbanks Morse Engine


Division of Coltec Industries Inc (NYSE: COT) has received an order valued in excess of $2 million for a dual-fuel, opposed piston engine and other electrical generating equipment from Pacific Bell.
 The dual-fuel engine will operate on either diesel or natural gas. The engine will have 12 cylinders and will be rated at 4,200 horsepower at 900 revolutions per minute. It will power a generator that produces 3,000 kilowatts of electricity.
 The equipment will provide Pacific Bell's telephone systems with emergency power in the San Diego, area. The Fairbanks Morse equipment is scheduled to be delivered in November 1992. This will complement two similar engines and electrical power generating equipment supplied by Fairbanks Morse to Pacific Bell in 1986.
 Fairbanks Morse Engine, based in Beloit, Wis., manufactures large, heavy-duty diesel, gas and dual-fuel engines for marine propulsion, the petroleum industry, cogeneration and for stationary and marine power generation.
 Coltec Industries Inc is a New York-based manufacturing company with revenues of approximately $1.4 billion serving aerospace, automotive and other industrial markets.
