 FAIR TRADE CARAVAN ARRIVES AT LOS ANGELES CITY HALL
 TODAY AT 9:30 A.M.
 -- Critics will demonstrate the growing, broad-based opposition
 to the Mexico free trade pact
 -- City Hall grounds will be transformed into a "graveyard" of
 jobs that have been lost to Mexico
 -- Tombstones will mark hundreds of Southland factories and
 thousands of jobs lost to Mexico;
 -- City officials will declare "Fair Trade Week" in L.A.
 Opponents of the president's North American Free Trade Agreement with Mexico will stage a dramatic rally today at 9:30 a.m. in the front of Los Angeles City Hall.
 A powerful coalition of environmental, labor, Latino, church and political leaders will wear black armbands and hold a "funeral" service, complete with a casket and pallbearers, to mourn the thousands of jobs the coalition says have been killed as local employers have closed factories and moved to Mexico in the name of free trade, lower wages and lax environmental enforcement.
 Over 100 tombstones will be placed on City Hall grounds, calling attention to plants that have closed, jobs that have been lost and families who are suffering in the name of "free trade."
