FACE FORWARD; EDITED BY SALLY MCLEAN A new year means new season beauty collections with lots of gorgeous new must-have products. But what should we be buying in the next couple of months to freshen up our beauty routine for spring? By MERLE BROWN.

GLAMGLOW'S Bubblesheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask, PS7, is a sheet mask that transforms into a fizzy foam and lifts make-up off in minutes. Their Glitter Mask (PS44, Boots) is both brilliant and ridiculous.

CHANEL'S Le Vernis Nail Polish Giallo Napoli, PS20, is bright sunshine yellow - the perfect tonic for this time of year.

Part of the Neapolis Spring Summer collection inspired by Chanel's creative make-up artist Lucia Pica's home town of Naples, it's the must-have nail shade of the season.

TIME for a new palette? Too Faced's Chocolate Gold Bar (PS39, Debenhams) has 16 eyeshadow shades infused with gold and cocoa powder. Bobbi Brown launch their Spring in Capri collection next month. The Eye Shadow palette, PS49.50, has eight neutral shades.

ORIGINS' Original Skin Cleansing Make-up Removing Jelly, PS19.50, is an innovative jelly formula that changes to a cleansing milk with the addition of water. It contains Canadian Willowherb, and Sunflower Oil and hydrates and cleanses.

METALLIC matte finish is in for lips. Estee Lauder's new Pure Color Envy Paint-on Liquid Lipcolor, PS25, comes in matte, vinyl and metallic.

Choose from four metallic shades in pinks and reds. MAC have also launched a range of their Retro matte liquid lips, PS17.50, in 15 molten metal shades. Smashbox's Always On Liquid Lipstick, PS19, also comes in 12 metallic shades, including green.

BOBBI Brown's Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation, PS31, is mattifying but lightweight and breathable. It comes in 30 shades.

NARS also launch a new base - Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, PS35, formulated with raspberry, apple and watermelon extracts to support the skin's elastic fibres. It's the brand's first 16-hour fade-resistant foundation and comes in 33 shades.

CULT skincare brand Alpha-H launch their Liquid Gold Firming Eye Cream, PS52, this month. It contains Lime Pearl Extract, a source of AHA (alpha hydroxy acids, which exfoliate the skin gently), extracted from Caviar Lime found in the Australian east coast rainforests.

ITALIAN line Filorga launch their Lift Structure range this month and it contains Lift Designer, (PS65, M&S) a serum combining plant agents, with a roll-on applicator.

Dior's Capture Youth range has five new serums. Choose from Illuminating, Soothing, Plumping, Mattifying and Lifting. All PS75.

BENEFIT'S latest launch is their Porefessional Pearl Primer, PS27.50.

It mattifies and reduces the look of pores like the original but it also brightens, essential to achieve the "glass skin" look from Korea. Clarins' new range of SOS Primers (PS26.50 each) addresses skin concerns, including lack of radiance and dark spots.

THE Body Shop launch six bold new Mono Eye Shadows (PS5 each) next month, their most heavily pigmented yet.

They are 100 per cent vegan, with no petrolatum, mineral oil or paraffin.

Sisley's Phyto-Khol Star liners, PS36, are a liquid reinvention of their glitter pencils.
