 FABRI-CENTERS OF AMERICA COMPLETES ACQUISITION
 CLEVELAND, Dec. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Fabri-Centers of America, Inc.


(NYSE: FCA) announced today the completion of its previously reported acquisition of certain assets of New York Fabrics of Pleasant Hill, Inc., which operates eighteen stores, all of which are located in the greater San Francisco Bay area. For the fiscal year ended Dec. 28, 1991, New York Fabrics had sales of approximately $35 million.
 With the acquisition, Fabri-Centers currently operates 649 fabric stores in 38 states and 31 Cargo Express houseware stores in Ohio and Michigan. For the nine-month period ended Nov. 2, 1991, Fabri-Centers had record net sales of $310,374,000 and net earnings of $5,556,000.
