F & M NAMES VICE PRESIDENT OF MERCHANDISE ADMINISTRATION

 WARREN, Mich., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- F & M Distributors, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: FMDD) named Tony Montini to the newly created position of vice president of Merchandise Administration. Among his responsibilities will be inventory control and merchandise replenishment. Montini was previously senior vice president of Purchasing and Merchandising at Reliable Drug Stores, Inc. and has held various positions in purchasing and inventory management at other retailers including Rite Aid Corporation and Gray Drug Fair, Inc. during his 24-year career in retailing. Montini will report directly to F & M's chief executive officer, Earl Weissert.
 In commenting on Montini's appointment, Weissert noted that "The company is delighted to have an individual with Tony Montini's expertise join our organization and we look forward to his contribution in the area of inventory control."
 F & M Distributors currently operates 116 F & M deep discount superstores in 10 states, offering a wide selection of branded health and beauty aids, cosmetics and fragrances and household supplies at everyday low prices. In addition, the company operates three PartiGiant deep discount party supply superstores in Michigan.
