F & C BANCSHARES, INC. DIRECTOR KILLED IN PLANE CRASH

 PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilber "Bud" Cole, a director of F & C Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCC) and First Federal Savings Bank of Charlotte County, together with his wife, his son, and his son's girlfriend, were all killed in an airplane crash Saturday, July 31, 1993, at Marsh Harbour on Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas.
 Mr. Cole had served as a member of the board of directors of the savings bank since 1977.
