The Series 224 is said to offer users the ability to produce thermoset profiles with two different polymer materials. This is said to combine the optimum performance characteristics of each material to meet even the toughest applications, according to the company.
In the 224 Series, the company's patented flow passages convey all the materials to flow without stagnation and to merge to form a single profile. The flow passages are designed with proprietary software using 3D CAD and advanced flow analysis. The 224 design is said to have demonstrated that as dual materials pass through the die, there are no areas where stagnation can take place in the extrusion tooling chamber.
The 224 Series is also said to ensure thinner walls and closer tolerances. This is said to be especially important for larger sizes, where waste or scrap may account for thousands of dollars in lost revenue. Engineering for the closest tolerances is said to result in huge material savings for all users.
The company also manufactures tips, dies and breaker plates using state-of-the-art computerized CNC machining and EDM equipment. Engineering services are available using the latest CAD systems for custom design.
