ExtraHop President and Co-Founder Raja Mukerji Honored with Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 Selection.

Award highlights local leaders for their outstanding business acumen, strong personal character, and community involvement

SEATTLE -- ExtraHop Networks, the leading provider of network-based application performance management (APM) solutions, announced today that President and Co-Founder Raja Mukerji has been selected as a winner in the Puget Sound Business Journal's annual 40 Under 40 awards. The awards, whose 40 winners were selected from more than 400 nominees, honor those under the age of 40 in the Puget Sound area that have made lasting and considerable contributions to their businesses and communities.

"I am proud to be named alongside so many incredible young leaders in this year's 40 Under 40 awards. This is very special for me," said Mukerji. "I have always held these awards in high regard for their focus on both fostering a long-standing relationship with the local community and encouraging business innovation and entrepreneurialism. These are qualities I have tried hard to instill in the culture at ExtraHop, and this recognition encourages me to keep doing so."

Despite being only 36, Mukerji is already known as being one of the area's thought-leaders in enterprise IT. After graduating from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1998, Mukerji dove straight into the workforce and rose to prominence as a leading member of F5 Networks' architecture team. In 2007, he and F5 colleague Jesse Rothstein founded ExtraHop Networks, which has become one of the fastest growing and most enviable technology companies in the country. Mukerji has contributed patches and fixes to the FreeBSD project's TCP selective acknowledgement and timestamp implementation that were subsequently absorbed into other open-source projects and even incorporated into Apple's Mac OSX. Like the other local businessmen and women honored this year, Mukerji is also active in his local and broader community, contributing to the Rainier Scholars, the American Red Cross, and the Jimmy Fund organizations.

"This year's class joins the 520 past winners who have been recognized for their outstanding achievements in both career and community," said Gordon Prouty, Puget Sound Business Journal publisher. "They represent a diverse group of industries and backgrounds and demonstrate the innovation, energy, and commitment that have made our region great, and will continue to make our region great moving forward."

The Puget Business Journal will profile each of this year's honorees in a special report in the September 14, 2012 edition of the paper, and congratulate them in person at a public award ceremony at Showbox SoDo on September 20, 2012.
