SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1996--NetGravity today announced that the NetGravity(TM) AdServer has become the online advertising management software of choice for leading online publishers, allowing traditional publishing institutions to meet the dynamic needs of online readers through advertising-supported Web publications.

The Chicago Tribune, National Geographic Online, Forbes, the Hearst Corp.'s HomeArts, Individual, Inc., Barron's Online, and CondeNet are a few of the publishing companies benefiting from the NetGravity AdServer -- a scaleable, distributed, high performance advertising management solution.

In order to keep up with the heightened interest online, traditional publishers are finding it necessary to have a presence on the Web. In doing so, they must create a viable business model to provide revenue for this additional expenditure. The NetGravity AdServer enables these publishers to maintain profitability online while offering access to their sites at no charge to the public.

Unlike remote online advertising management services, the NetGravity AdServer allows sites to fully control advertising options and retain all revenue generated from online advertising sales. AdServer to Support Windows NT

In order to meet customer demand for availability on a wider range of platforms, the NetGravity AdServer will soon support Microsoft Windows NT. This functionality, available in December of this year, will take advantage of Windows NT's ease of use, simple installation, automatic Web server configuration, and easy administrative tools.

NetGravity will fully support the increasingly popular NT platform with the same functionality as is available on UNIX platforms. This multi-platform strategy underscores the role that NetGravity has established in meeting industry demand.
