ExpressJet reports traffic and capacity results for August 2007.
Traffic and capacity results for August 2007 have been announced by ExpressJet Holdings (NYSE:XJT) for its Express Jet Airlines subsidiary, including statistics for contract and branded operations.
The company's contract operation includes flying for Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines under capacity purchase agreements and the charter or corporate aviation service. Its branded operation incorporates flying under its own name and pro-rate flying for Delta Air Lines.
The company reported revenue passenger miles (RPM) under contract flying of 808m for August 2007, along with available seat miles (ASM) flown of 1,003m; with a load factor of 80.6% for the month.
ExpressJet flew 68,468 block hours and operated 36,444 departures for August 2007 and saw the final three aircraft removed from its capacity purchase agreement with Continental.
The company reported a total of 190m RPMs for August 2007, with 298m ASMs and a load factor of 63.8%, for branded flying. It flew 16,870 block hours and operated 8,790 departures for the month, with an average stage length of 679 miles in the branded operation.
