Expo explores true meaning of photography.
A group photography exhibition opened last night at Bin Matar House in Muharraq as part of this year's Spring of Culture festival.
The exhibition of 13 artists, titled Do You Trust Me?, explores the meaning of truth, reality and trust usually associated with photography in the age of fake news and alternative facts.
The photographs have been framed and edited to change meaning and the context in which they were seen.
The artists taking part are Asma Murad, Bader Al Balawi, Camille Zakharia, Enas Sistani, Ghada Khunji, Hanan Al Khalifa, Hesham Al Ammal, Janan Habib, Mai Al Moataz, Marwa Al Khalifa, Simon Impey, Tamara Pachachi, and Wafa Al Ghatam
The project is designed by the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region and will run until May 15. The Bin Matar House is open from Saturday to Thursday from 8am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm.
