Exploring outside markets.

EXPLORING OUTSIDE MARKETS. A group of 77 Salvadoran companies from different sectors are exploring markets in Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Chile, reports Elsalvador.com (Oct. 19, 2012). Of the participating firms, 22% are classified as micro enterprises, 45% as small, 18% as medium and the remaining 14% are large companies. The activity corresponds to the second edition of the program "Exporting Step by Step 2012" by the Export Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESS). Claudia Velez, manager of exporter development at the institution, said that as a result of their analysis, Honduras and Ecuador will be the first markets which they will approach commercially.
