Experts, OSCE officials discuss new security challenges in Vienna.

| VIENNA, June 25 (KUNA) -- The Organization for Security and Cooperation Europe (OSCE) 2012 conference will take place at the Hofburg Congress Centre in Vienna on Monday.

A prominent group of experts, think tank,s and OSCE delegates will discuss new security challenges and the role of civil society in shaping a security community.

The opening speeches will be delivered by the OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier; the Permanent Representative of Ireland to the OSCE Eoin O'Leary on behalf of the 2012 Irish Chairmanship of the OSCE; and the President of the Foreign Policy and United Nations Association of Austria and former Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Wolfgang Schussel.

Sessions will focus on developing new approaches to conventional arms control, addressing protracted conflicts and facilitating reconciliation. Each session will be followed by an open debate. (end) amg.gta KUNA 250907 Jun 12NNNN
