Expensive polling; YOUR LETTERS TO THE NATIONAL NEWSPAPER OF WALES.

SIR - I see that our elected officials at the Wales Assembly are very pleased that the Referendum on further powers for the WAG is to be held on a separate date to the Assembly Election and the referendum for the possible AV voting system.

With the Welsh economy facing the most severe cuts, where is the sense in having to pay for two polling days instead of the one. Expense no object? The opinion of our leaders was that we, the Welsh, were too stupid to be able to hold an opinion on three issues at once.

Now, while not being the brightest candle on the cake, I can do that, maybe, on a good day.

Considering that in some states in the USA they have to vote on up to eight issues at once, it does not say a lot about our education system in Wales.

One issue I am certain about: please, No more powers to this expensive charade.
