Expansion of Pomalaa ferronickel plant to boost Antam's income.
Currently Antam is building expansion of its ferronickel (FeNi) factory in Pomalaa (P3FP)., which consists of 8 packages--package I for Jetty & Facilities, package II for: Belt Conveyors, package III FeNi Plant-1, package IV Ore Preparation & Calcination, package V Ladle Furnace, package VI Electric Smelting Furnace, package VII Oxygen Plant and package VIII a coal-fired power plant. Antam begins with the construction of package IV project, which is awarded to state construction company PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) on a consortium with Japan's Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
WIKA's operation director Bambang Pramujo said construction of package IV project to cost US$102 million is expected to be completed in 27 months WIKA 's share in the project is valued at US$26.73 million, with Kawasaki taking the rest. The ore preparation line 4 facility includes development main equipment, rotary dryer, with a capacity of 260 tons per hour and rotary kiln with a capacity of 90 tons per hour. WIKA is involved in the construction of four of the 8 packages with share valued at a total of US$110.2 million. PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk. (ANTM) posted a 44.45% fall in profit in the first 9 months of 2013 to Rp348 billion from Rp627.78 billion in the same period in 2012.
